The Sun as a Divine Healer for Optimal Health with Dylan Smith and Laura Poole {Podcast #010}

Throughout evolution, exposure to sunlight and the photosynthesis of vitamin D has been critically important for the evolution of land vertebrates. But all of a sudden in the past few decades, we have been burying the Sun from our lives while simultaneously increasing our exposure to artificial light. Could this be a foundational mistake for our health? Has the status quo's fear of the sun been blown out of proportion?

Circadian medicine won the most recent Nobel Peace Prize saying that a resolution towards chronic disease is to live in-tune with our natural circadian rhythms. Simply, 'go back to nature' is now the prescription for healing. Dylan and Laura will share how to work with the Sun to optimise your health and immune system, so you can re-establish this important and foundational human-Sun relationship.

This recording is from a talk where Laura interviewed Dylan in Melbourne in September 2018.

About Laura Poole

Laura Poole is a Vedic meditation teacher, speaker, writer and community builder. She has trained intensively over the past decade with great masters in Australia, India and the United States. Based in Melbourne, Laura shares the wisdom of Vedic meditation, Vedanta and Ayurveda, making it relevant for living in today’s world. She is a truly dedicated leader and entrepreneur in the Melbourne meditation space, inspiring people to take care of their mental and physical health while encouraging them to make a real difference in the world.

Laura is the founder of Mahasoma - a movement that is creating a new cultural narrative through the embodiment of wisdom and practice. She was also an original co-founder/co-creator of 1 Giant Mind Australia and its free 'Learn to Meditate' app.

In this Episode we Discuss:

How Dylan became fascinated and in love with the sun.

Forming a relationship with the sun.

  • Like any sentient being, we are in a reciprocal relationship. We need to reciprocally give our attention and energy in order to obtain the benefits that the sun offers.
  • Practices to form a relationship with the sun for a mutual exchange of attention, awareness and admiration.
  • Surya Namaskar: Sun Salutation, a devotional practice to Surya (sun).

Circadian Medicine - What the latest Nobel prize was won for. Circadian Rhythms: living in tune with natures cycles and your own biological cycles. This is Ayurveda 101. This had the Ayurvedic community laughing but also provided well over-due relief. The Nobel prize was won for such fundamental natural law (Veda) because the prescription for healing the epidemic of chronic disease is to live in tune with nature.

The Vedic worldview.

The sun as a sentient being and one of the supreme forms of nature.

The Personality of the Sun:

  • Very consistent: always on time, unconditionally showing up.
  • Fiery, Heat
  • Energy
  • Power
  • Generous - Gives life unconditionally to everyone.
  • Central - everything is moving around it.
  • Illuminating - allows us to see. Gives us the capability to illuminate ideas within our own mind.

The Lighting Crisis: Burying the sun from our lives and replacing this with artificial blue light.

The sun providing the body with energy by generating DC electric current and activating mitochondria function.

Receiving an Altered Spectrum of Light

The problem with sunscreen, windows and glasses - you are blocking particular spectrums of light, so the light hitting you is an altered spectrum of light that is not holistic and causes damage.

The eyes as a seat of pitta (fire/metaboliser).

The importance of melatonin: “The king of hormones.”

Our Mistaken Fear of the Sun

Especially in Australia. Breaking free of social conditioning, questioning science and thinking clinically.

Why the Sun Rarely Causes Skin Cancer

Dermatologists can’t explain the growth in melanoma because while melanoma is increasing, our exposure to the sun is reducing.

The difference between morning and evening light spectrums.

Under Active Thyroid - A common problem. Thyroid hormones are created by the pituitary gland which is turned on by light.

The Vital Time for Sleep: 10pm-2am

Absorbing micro-nutrients from food, regulating hormones.

The Influence of LED Lights (Screens, Lights) and Light Temperatures on our Hormones

Hacking our Computer and Phone Screens to Reduce Light Temperature for Hormonal Health

  • Phone: Change your light temperature on your phone setting to “most warm” and have it one 24/7.
  • Computer: Iris software as a shield for your computer screen.

The Epidemic of Eye Diseases: Pre mature-blindness, macular degeneration, dry eyes.

Practices to mitigate these issues.

Nasya (Nasal Drops) - Medicated Oil to sniff up into the brain to lubricate the whole head, neck and throat.  Detoxifies and rejuvenates the pineal gland. Learn more.

Blue Light Blocking Glasses

Detoxifying Fluoride and Excess Calcium from the Pineal Gland

Fluoride

Structured Water

Re-structure your drinking and bathing water back towards water’s natural molecular state for proper hydration and detoxification functions.

Building Biology

Recognising not just the biology of your skin, but the outer skin of what we live and spend time in (buildings and environments).

Skin Physiology and why blind people still have light and dark cycles.

Melanopsin and photoreceptors in our skin that sense light without seeing, that metabolise light, circadian rhythms and that initiate melatonin production.

Self-Abhyanga (Self-Ayurvedic Massage)

  • An essential practice of anointing your body with oil and giving massage.
  • Benefits: Pacifies nervous system, move the lymph, enhances blood circulation, improves skin physiology, feeding skin micro-biology and more.
  • Download your free self-abhyanga poster here.

The Second Brain: The Gut

The enteric nervous system. Relax your belly, allow it to be soft.

The Third Brain: The Skin

A highly complex structure.

The sense of Touch (Sparsha Indriya)

Vitamin D

  • 85% of the world is deficient in Vitamin D.
  • Why Oral Vitamin D is not as adequate of the sun.

The Importance of Preventive of Medicine

Due to the epidemic of chronic disease.

Heliotherapy (Sun Therapy) and UV Light Therapy

How to Safely Protect your Self From Excess Sun

How to Implement Sun in Your Life

Building sun exposure and tolerance.

Pink Skin from the Sun is Good

Dermal pooling - red blood cells coming to the surface to absorb UV for prana (life-force) and energy.

Red Skin and Burning from the Sun is Not Good

What to do If you live in a dark country

Grounding to the earth's current.

Photo-Electric Effect - Light is stored in water and in food.

Sun Gazing

Jet Lag Remedy

Go in the sun, then eat the natural foods.

Moonlight

Full Moon Energy

Excess blue light triggers activity from “Lunatics” and causes higher crime rates during full moon.

The Power of Afternoon/Evening Sun

Vedic Meditation as one of the most evolutionary things one can do for their health.

Tongue Scraping for removing toxins.

Convenience Overriding Health

Relationships - We in relationships with everything in life, but what type of relationship is this.

The Full Moon That Purifies Water & Drips Nectar: Sharad Purnima

Once a year, on a particular full moon, a saint-like star reveals its presence in the sky.

This star is called “Agastya” (Sanskrit) or “Canopus” (western astrology).
This is the brightest star in the southern constellation of Carina, and the 2nd brightest in the night-time sky, after Sirius.

The Toxic Water Epidemic

Not even the best instruments (water filters) can purify water because it is completely soluble. Even boiling water properly, a more powerful water purification technique, may not fully remove the toxins as they are completely dissolved into the water.

In fact, one of the main sources of diseases in this day of age (Kali Yuga) is from (creatures/micro-organisms in) water.

It is known Reverse Osmosis removes essential minerals, but what more is that it removes Prana (life-force) and Ojas (vital-essence) from the water. Another reason why boiling water is so important is that it brings back Prana to some extent.

The Ultimate Water Purifier

So, on the full moon of “Sharad Purnima,” occuring around October/November according to the Georgian calendar,  ALL WATER exposed to sunlight that day, and then to moonlight that night, becomes NECTAR. This full moon is the Ultimate Water Purifier.
*(Very dirty and contaminated water will have to be further purified).

Every year nature organises this full moon to arrive in India at the middle of the monsoon, to purify all the acid and toxins built up from the beginning of the monsoon, and pave the way for a fresh and clean winter.

Lakes, rivers, water stations, dams, catchment areas all exposed to the moon become so pure.

Swim in them, drink the fresh nectar, see, acknowledge and unify with the Divine in water. Because water is the embodiment of Mother (Maha Devi) - the giver of life, nourishing, nurturing, protecting, has infinite adaptability is abundant and transcendent.

Ritual and Practice for Sharad Purnima Full Moon

Drink sweet boiled milk with spices that night, and during cooking and drinking it, expose it to the moonlight to invigorate and fortify the milk.

Look at the reflection of the moon in your cup of milk. It will look like a full moon eclipse (see photo).

Then it is Prasad (holy food). Drinking it will boost ojas in you, stregnthen your immunity and digestion, remove acidity from the body and leave you feeling nourished.

This ritual is best done as close to mid-night as possible.

UFOs and Sentient Beings with Colonel Leeds III {Podcast #008}

Are humans really the only highly evolved beings on this planet today?

Perhaps consider broadening your horizon into more subtle realms and study history a bit deeper than what the norm has taught with their limited chronological compilations.

In this episode we touch on a BUNCH of various events, conspiracies, esoteric ideas, all considering sentient beings other than our human selves, and of course, other than the plants and animals we love, recognise as sentient beings and care about, o so much.

But it’s not just other sentient beings. We also explore history and historical events with a more holistic approach and with a wider lens than the close minded status quo ideology that we were taught in history class.

By the way what we talk about is all very vedic.

Veda is the knowledge governing the unity of the laws of nature and human consciousness of which yoga, mediation and Ayurveda come from.

We touch on a lot of parallels with the Veda and since we only touch on this, I urge you to check out the show notes on where I write about these aspects in more detail.

Bill has a lot to say, so this episode is really a forspisher of many ideas for you to consider, and if you want to dive deeper, you can study these further yourself and check out the show notes.

About Colonel William Leeds III

After law school Bill entered into the army around 24 years old and was active in service and reserves for approximately 24 years, including being a colonel for 6 years, which is the second highest rank after a general.

Being in the US military meant Bill could travel anywhere for free on any aeroplane. So, he found a love for travelling but then he learnt Transcendental Meditation in 1976 and learnt to travel inside.

As his consciousness expanded as he evolved, he was exposed to government’s interactions with aliens and other sentient beings. Since then, he has extensively researched the topic along with other military and government colleagues from USA and other countries.

Now Bill is 78 years old, retired and enjoys meditating and panchakarma, while still keeping up to date, researching and sharing his library and knowledge about conspiracy phenomenons.

In this Episode we Discuss:

The Roswell UFO incident, 1947
Reported in the book “Crash at Corona” (1992) by Stanton Friedman.
A saucer crashed at Roswell, New Mexico, and several alien bodies were recovered.
Bill was appointed to interview the first man who saw the crash.

Paul Hellyer - former defence minister of Canada.
The current big speaker who know a great deal as he was the minister of defence for Canada.

Alien Races:
Paul Hellyer used to count there was 51, now he counts over 81, including:

  • The Greys - most common race of aliens.
  • Anunnaki - helping our civilisation grow. Did DNA work with us to help us mine gold.
  • Reptilians

Some of the Aliens were in contact with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. He taught them how to know themselves.

Human Qualities in Aliens
Some of the races, particularly “The Greys,” have emotions and have trouble laughing. They approached Maharishi Mahesh Yogi to help with this. They reproduced through cloning and used human females to produce hybrids.

They used various communication methods, mostly by telepathy.

They have been here for hundreds of thousands of years. They are friendly. They don’t eat us.

Secret US Alien Executive Agreement

President Dwight Eisenhower signed an executive agreement with the Aliens in 1958. You can obtain the agreement documents from Stanton Friedman.

It was released by the Freedom Information Act.

A treaty force between the republican of United States of America AND [the rest is blocked out]. It was a treaty not with a country, but with something else, like the aliens.

He gave authorisation for them to uses certain bases on land and under the sea in the continent of the United States without interference. Also perhaps Antartica.

The Reasons Aliens are Here:

  • They are here to help us. They don’t want us to destroy the planet.
  • Nuclear warfare destroyed Mars hundreds of thousands of years ago. The Aliens don’t want that to happen here on earth.

The Atlantean Root Race - one of the root races as a stage in human evolution in esoteric cosmology. Root races existed mainly on now-lost continents millions of years ago.

Hanumans or Adams bridge - A bridge between India and Sri Lanka.

Dated 18,400 years ago, this was proof of an ability to build advanced technology.

Why other sentient beings are interested in and care about planet earth and humans.

Evolution process:

Akasha (space) - mineral - atoms - molecules - plants - animals - humans.

It all starts with consciousness.

We are going through that process in meditation like Vedic Meditation and Transcendental Meditation and advanced development techniques like Siddhis (a sequence of creating a perfected human with paranormal powers the way nature intended a human to be constructed and manifested).

The sentients beings intervene with human civilisation to maintain peace on earth. They have done this by:

  • Turning off nuclear systems and delivery methods. Four times in Russia they stopped the firing of nuclear weapons.
  • Aliens will shut down the current nuclear button of Kim Jong-un, North Korea’s supreme ruler. He wouldn’t be able to do it.

The main countries of the world know the aliens have been here since the 50s and 60s.

Flying Saucers

Vimanas

According to the Vedas, a Vimana is any self-moving aerial car sometimes serving as a seat or throne to the Gods, sometimes self-moving and carrying its occupant through the air. It can be a temple or palace flying in the sky.

RigVeda, verses 1.164.47-48 are evidence for the idea of "mechanical birds":

kṛṣṇáṃ niyânaṃ hárayaḥ suparṇâ / apó vásānā dívam út patanti
tá âvavṛtran sádanād ṛtásyâd / íd ghṛténa pṛthivî vy ùdyate
dvâdaśa pradháyaś cakrám ékaṃ / trîṇi nábhyāni ká u tác ciketa
tásmin sākáṃ triśatâ ná śaṅkávo / 'rpitâḥ ṣaṣṭír ná calācalâsaḥ

"Dark the descent: the birds are golden-coloured; up to the heaven they fly robed in the waters.
Again descend they from the seat of Order, and all the earth is moistened with their fatness."
"Twelve are the fellies, and the wheel is single; three are the naves. What man hath understood it?
Therein are set together spokes three hundred and sixty, which in nowise can be loosened." ("trans." Griffith)

Swami Dayananda Saraswati interpreted these verses to mean:

"jumping into space speedily with a craft using fire and water...containing twelve stamghas (pillars), one wheel, three machines, 300 pivots, and 60 instruments."

America found Vimanas in a cave in 2013 in Afghanistan but it is protected by forcefields.

Paul Hellyer - look up for more information.

Governments interest in Aliens knowledge to develop advanced technology for war, peace and to clean up our planet. Particularly less fossil fuel and nuclear fuel.

Book: “Someone Else Is On The Moon” by George H Leonard. Knapp Publishing House 1976.

Includes satellite photographs of buildings, structures, towers, mining equipment and bridges on the moon.

Americans have been to the moon and mars in saucers. Our knowledge in that area is 20-40 yeas ahead of what people know, classified at the “J-level.”

Vedic Eras (Yugas)

4 Yugas: The historical eras according the Vedas, denoting that we were more evolved before in previous eras.

Yuga = Time period. Epac/Era.

Kali Yuga

  • “The age of ignorance.”
  • The feminine aspect of the destruction operator (Shiva).
  • 432, 000 Years. Started 5000 years ago at the end of the Mahabharata war (4 million people at Kudu Chekra).
  • Scheduled into Kali Yuga there is an age of enlightenment which started on 12th of January 1975. This lasts for 10,000 years.
  • The best part of it is camaraderie at the beginning, the most exciting.
  • Peaks right at the end of it (10K years) and then go into rapid decline back into Kali Yuga.
  • To do: Let go of defective elements of your behavioural repertoire like unnecessary tenacity (fears etc.). Replace these with effective elements and allow enlightenment to come in.

Dwapara Yuga

  • Ended at Mahabharata war.
  • Purer than Kali Yuga.
  • If someone was stressed, they automatically looked that way, destruction operator dominant.
  • Good guys really good, bad guys really bad.
  • Dwa = two division of one/duality.
  • 2x longer than Kali.
  • People could drink a lot of ghee since they were 10ft tall and stronger. This is where drinking of ghee practice came from and this is where it should stay.

Treta Yuga

  • Purer than Dwapara.
  • 3/4 times longer than Kali Yuga.
  • Knower, knowing and known was bound up by one.
  • A lot of harmony. Really on cusp of Being (Absolute).

Sat Yuga

  • Almost inconceivable to us. Being/Transcendence.
  • 4x the length of Kali Yuga.
  • Can be seen in vertical time.
  • When you mediate (Vedic Meditation) you go through each Yuga. Sat Yuga is when you transcend.

Kings List

Kings of Persia (Present day Iraq).

Lists of Kings going back hundreds of thousands of years.

Blue Skin Humans

The skin of characters in Indian history, (aka Indian mythology), are blue coloured due to a different elemental makeup. Akasha (space) is dominant, rather than prthvi (earth).

Still some blue-tinged skin people reside in the High Antes Mountains - western mountains of South America.

How Bill becoming younger with Panchakarma.

Cleaning solar panels on mars.

More evidence showing advanced civilisations at work:

  • Maninja Darrel - Excavation in 1992 showing large civilisations in Turkey 10-15 thousand years ago.
  • Urn found in Peru. Chadians writings from the time of Abraham.
  • Anunaki brought civilisation. Now we are finding bones all over the world of people 10-15ft tall, particularly in Russia, Lavant and caves in Northern America.

Why Aliens don’t expose themselves to us.

Evolutionary Journey of Reincarnation

Transmigration of souls stops at humans. Humans are the most evolutionary living beings. Everything is evolution.

Area 51 - Huge basis underneath the sea. Area 51 underground.

Sentient beings are working with the military to develop computer chips.

Nordic Aliens - humanoid extraterrestrials who resemble Nordic-Scandinavians.

Assesses the state of regions of the earth through analysing cow blood.

Dowsing (Water Witching) - a type of divination employed in attempts to locate ground water, buried metals, ores, gemstones, oil, grave-sites and many other objects and materials without the use of scientific apparatus.

Similarly, in sleep we contact our higher self similar to our brothers and sisters.

Ayurveda’s 4 pillars of good health - Sleep, Meditation, Abhyanga, Pranayama (breathing exercise).

Bill adds a 5th pillar of health: laughter.

Tonic (rasayana) as “internal abhyanga” - Milk, honey and ghee. *Honey should be double to amount (weight) to ghee.

Sanskrit - the power is in the silence in between the sounds.

Dr. John Hagelin - President of Maharishi University of Management.

The level of quarks and quacks, God particle. The level of the subtlest level can control quarks and quacks, can control electrons and protons, can control molecules, can control the relative.

Future discussion with Bill:

  • Loss of the libraries of earth - our lost history.
  • Archaeology finding physical objects that elude to prior civilisations.
  • Inka in Peru.
  • The sleeping prophet.

For the who want to contact Bill to dive deeper into these areas, contact me and I will connect you.

Alchemising the Essence of Traditional Medicine with Dr. Jimi Wollumbin {Podcast #007}

Lets not only explore some of the gems, techniques and knowledge from a range of traditional medicine but let's cultivate capabilities to relate with the essence of these ancient lineages in order to heal using a more direct, holistic and powerful approach.

Set at the feet of Mt Wollumbin (Mt Warning) in the Northern Rivers of NSW at Jimi’s healing sanctuary, this interview explores traditional healing gems and techniques derived from a diverse catalogue of ancient lineages.

That is what Dr. Jimi has uniquely cultivated. An ability to cross-pollinate medical traditions then apply that in his clinic and teachings while maintaining professional sovereignty.

Jimi sheds insight into the root causes of disease by exploring deep and subtle primary wounds.

His approach is understanding and communing with the essence of a herb, a medical device, a body system, disease or a patient, in order to heal holistically. This is what makes a physician at the top of their game.

This interview is basically me picking Jimi’s brain on all cool things traditional medicine while he shares his philosophical views and approach. I also enquire about his journey of moving from tradition to tradition to cultivate his own flavour of healing while maintaining respect and authentic identity.

About Dr. Jimi Wollumbin

Whether he is presenting at the UN or at a village health co-operative in rural India, Jimi is always a highly engaging speaker, writer and educator. With 19 years clinical experience and almost as much in community development, Jimi combines his deep knowledge of holistic medicine with a passion for social causes and world health. As the social entrepreneur that founded One Health Organisation in 2005, he has since steered it to become the largest holistic and integrative healthcare NGO in the world - having distributed roughly 9 metric tonnes of medicine to hundreds of thousands of disadvantaged communities across the globe. Jimi’s private clients value his obvious passion for traditional medical practices and the way in which he combines aspects of the traditions of India, China, Tibet and Persia that continue to inspire him.

In this Episode we Discuss:

  • How Jimi got the name Wollumbin - the indigenous name of the mountain where Jimi lives.
  • Mt Wollumbin as the “Ajna” (third eye) of Australia. (6:10)
  • Cross-pollinating medical modalities and reviving living traditions. (8:30)
  • Jimi’s personal journey and experience with medicine. (13:30)
  • Jimi’s journey with Ayurveda.
  • The common grammar that underlies Traditional Chinese Medicine and Ayurvedic Medicine. (16:30)
  • Ayurveda and herbal medicine is a labour of love. (22:34)
  • Jimi’s platform of practice - alternative to the alternatives. (23:10)
  • Accessing deep and subtle primary wounds as root causes of disease. “What really needs to be healed here?” (24:30)
  • Pulse diagnosis: deep intimacy of sentients touching sentients. (35:35)
  • Starting to learn Pulse Diagnosis. How to approach it. “Feel” the pulse. (39:35)

Immunising your Baby Effectively and Naturally with Dr. A.V. Raju {Podcast #006}

Immunising baby or child. I’m not talking about vaccinations, but practical innate interventions to not only strengthen your baby, prevent disease and infection, but for them to be the most radiant, healthy baby of the lot!

Ayurvedic master, Dr. A.V. (Krishna) Raju will talk about the importance of Ayurvedic oil massage (Abhyanga) for a baby. Then Dylan Smith will share other ways to immunise your baby through balancing the mother's health, herbs for the baby, diet, and other specific regimen.

About Dr. Vaidya A.V. Krishna Raju

The Raju Family are internationally renowned leading experts in authentic Ayurveda (the science of health and longevity).

Practicing for over 13 generations, their speciality is a most refined, accurate and comprehensive patient evaluation through Pulse Diagnosis. They also specialise in creating very effective and individualised treatments using precise knowledge and application of rare and powerful herbal formulas.

Vaidya Krishna Raju is the director and head doctor at his family clinic in Hyderabad, India, where they treat thousands of people who travel from all over the world for their expert treatment and advice for everything from prevention to the seemingly incurable.

In this Episode we Discuss:

The two most important factors for baby are bath and abhyanga (oil massage), daily.

  • Preventing Disease - With Abhyanga we can satisfy vata very easily. There are many vata diseases, much more than the other doshas. So we pacify vata from the childhood, we can prevent so many diseases.
  • Detoxifies - That is why it is important to bathe the baby after, to wash off the toxins the massage “pulled out” via lipophilic action.
  • Improves muscle and bone growth.
  • Sramapaha” - reduces exertion.
  • Improves sleep - by pacifying the nervous system.
  • Abhyanga is like exercise to a baby.
  • Sesame Oil - Improves calcium levels, bone and hair growth.
  • Regimen - After delivery give massage every day except for next 11 days.
  • Head is the most important area to massage - Strengthens the skull, prevents headaches and enhances sensory health.
  • Oils to use for massage - Ideally medicated oils, otherwise cold-pressed extra-virgin coconut oil, cold-pressed extra-virgin olive oil. Beware with sesame oil as it may cause a skin reaction or allergy depending on the baby.

Other methods of Ayurvedic Immunisation: (12:55)

  1. Balance mum’s physiology - post-natal herbs, garlic, ghee, ojas increasing foods. Just giving baby-abhyanga will increase oxytocin in the mother. Ensure proper breastfeeding.
  2. Herbs for baby - swarna prasa, shiva drops, pusya drops, swasakastank yog. (15:02)
  3. 40 days of intimacy between mum and baby.
  4. Diet - timely food, proper food introduction.
  5. Sattvic (pure) environment in the home.
  6. Bath - give after abhyanga. Lukewarm baths daily.

Fluctuating Between a Celibate Monk and Successful Businessman While Exploring the World’s Saints, Healers and Mystics with Conan Mischer {Podcast #005}

What is the most evolutionary thing you can be doing right now?
The need of the time must be attended to in this world. Are you a worthy candidate that will respond to this call from the universe? How much of your energy and time can you give to servicing the community, economy and society at large?

Or is it best for you to recluse and live like a monk? Go live in a cave in the Himalayas or a Sanskrit only speaking village and meditate full time. Go seeking amongst holy places like India to visit sacred sites, meet holy saints and receive unique healings from extraordinarily gifted people.

Conan Mischer has been infatuated with such experiences throughout his journey of life.

I was so astounded and loved hearing his stories that I had to share them with you.

About Conan Mischer

Conan has been an advanced meditator for decades. He has met and mingled with astonishing people which provided profound life experiences. At the same time, he has been successful in university and business.

In this Episode we Discuss:

  • Book that changed Conans life - Andrew Weil - holistic health and meditation. (6:00)
  • Perfect Health by Deepak Chopra - a life-changing book that is a great introduction to Ayurveda. (06:20).
  • Indulging to much in the absolute state of Being can cause lack of integration in the always changing, relative world. (11:10)
  • Householder vs. the Recluse (Sanyasi) - How relevant is it in today's time for westerners to live a recluse lifestyle such as meditating full time in the mountains? (13:30)
  • The vedic saying that sums of the whole Veda quite well: “Established in Being, perform action.” (“Yogasta kuru karmani.”) ~ Bhagavad Gita, chapter 2, verse 48. What technique are you using to become established in Being? It will differ for each individual. Then how will you readjust to the relative, every changing world. (16:30)
  • New Mavericks - Vedic business consulting. (17:55)
  • Vedic Vibration Technology. Subtle therapy consisting of blowing primordial sounds into the body. (20:26)
  • Healing on the subtle level - Vedic Pulse Vibration, Raju family of Vaidyas, Banana Treatment for Women's Health. (21:28)
  • Working at the atomic level (subtle) is so much more powerful than working at the molecular level (gross). Atomic energy vs. chemical energy. (23:17)
  • Sanskrit - An onomatopoetic language, not a symbolic language. The first child of the language of nature. (23:48)
  • Nadi Palm Leaf Readers - Based on a thumbprint, they investigate your past and predict your future. (24:15).
  • Brahmasthan of India - A village in the geographical centre of India which encompasses a concentrate of full time vedic ceremonies and chantings. (27:00)
  • Yoga Asanas (posture) as a tool to integrate and bridge the gap between the transcendent and the relative. Especially for those who are “up in the clouds,” “airy fairy,” or ungrounded. (28:53)
  • The true meaning of Yoga and the difference between Yoga and exercise. An effortless, transcending yoga practice that provides the benefits of blood circulation, flexibility and strength. (29:47)
  • Himalayas - Jyotirmath - seat and home of the Shankarcharya King of the Yogis. Badrinath (Vishnu temple) in Uttrakandh. (31:35)
  • Tiruvanamalai - A mountain in south India that itself is a Shiva Lingam (form of Lord Shiva, the destruction operator in nature). (37:05)
  • Experiences with Amma Mata Amritanandamayi (The hugging the saint), an Avatar of the mother divine. Stepping into a spiritual jacuzzi whenever Conan got near her. (40:00)
  • The course of miracles - community. (43:00)
  • Jesus Christ was a Vedic master. Christ suffered is a faulty conclusion. It doesn’t tell you about his consciousness. A wincing body does not mean the consciousness is suffering. It is rather attributing the consciousness of the person making the claim. (48:55)
  • Mother Meera - A female saint who gives you “Darshan” - simply by looking at you, she lures you to her high state of consciousness, giving you a taste of the euphoria and blissful consciousness that you have potential to move into and Be in, all the time. (52:51)
  • Phillipino Psychic Surgeons - Opening up peoples bodies and removing foreign and detrimental objects and tissues. All with their bare hands. All with the patient feeling mostly nothing, anesthetic-free. And “patching” back up the patient straight away, as if nothing just happened. Read Conans full recount about his Psychic Surgery experience here. (56:09)
  • Panchakarma - Ayurvedic detox and rejuvenation program. (59:28)
  • Conan’s pearl of wisdom - What is the value of these experiences of visiting healers, saints, holy places, doing panchakarma etc.? The main value is to give us a glimpse of our true state of Being. A tangible reminder of our natural essence through experience. This inspires to strive for that state.
  • Ayurvedic Self Pulse Diagnosis - immediately connecting mind and physiology for healing and gaining greater awareness of the body. Learn self-pulse here. (1:06:50)

The Epidemic of Chronic Disease Calls Ayurveda to the Rescue {Podcast #004}

Listen on iTunes

Epidemics of chronic diseases are exponentially growing alongside our modern lifestyle.
Ayurveda has never been so relevant to humanity than right now. And what the 2017 Nobel Prize for Medicine was won for supports this, because it was won for “Circadian Medicine,” which is basically “Ayurveda 101” (living in tune with nature’s circadian rhythms).

Half of the men reading this will get cancer in their life. 1 in 3 women will get cancer. Diabetes, auto-immune diseases, infertility, premature blindness, autism, dementia, Alzheimer’s and more are all rapidly taking over the bodies of our population

Two big culprits recently on the block are talked about: Excessive exposure to EMF (electro-magnetic fields) and blue light. Dylan shares ways to mitigate the effects of these, from very simple no-brainer adjustments to bigger steps to be more proactive in changing aspects of your life to take control of your health.

Dylan also shares basic principles and concepts of Ayurveda.

This is a recording of a talk Dylan did in February 2018 at Bondi Meditation Centre in Sydney, hosted by Matt Ringrose. It was so well received he had to share it with you...

About Dylan Smith

Founder, Ayurvedic practitioner, holistic health educator and proponent of Vedic wisdom, Dylan Smith, has a holistic passion to teach patients to effortlessly integrate new habits into their daily life. Dylan is devoted to learning, sharing and radiating this ancient knowledge for everyone to utilise and enjoy, to experience total wellness and bliss. Read more about Dylan here.
