Menstrual Wisdom & Womb Care with Ayurveda | Nidhi Pandya #063

Vital Veda Podcast Banner

Ancient women honoured the menstrual blood as the essential life generating material willed by Mother Moon to cleanse and purify their inherited Shakti energy so that new and fragrant life could blossom.

Ancient wisdom for a healthy menstrual cycle and caring for the wombs of all women on earth: the seat of creative intelligence in all areas of life.

About Our Guest: Nidhi Pandya

Nidhi Pandya is a New York based third generation Ayurvedic practitioner working globally. She was indoctrinated into Ayurveda at birth, as her grandfather was an Ayurvedic healer.
In 2002, she founded a value development school called Vyaktitiva to counsel young adolescents and help them find purpose in whatever they do.
Now, she is a practitioner, blogger, educator and a faculty at the Shakti School of Ayurveda.
Wellness to Nidhi means aligning your body and mind to only consume what nourishes you on both levels. This can only happen when you truly understand your body and are able to tune in to your mind.

Nidhi Pandya
After an in depth study of the scriptures and contemplation, Nidhi came to the conclusion that the ecosystem of the human body is warm and moist. Any deviation from this climate leads to imbalance. She therefore teaches people how to understand this climate; what may take it off balance, and how to bring it back to homeostasis.

In this Episode we Discuss:

Nidhi's Daily Routine (Dinacharya)

How Nidhi's relationship with Ayurveda originated

Being raised within a family of Ayurveic Healers in Mumbai, India.
Moving to New York and realizing the practice of Ayurveda is her true calling.
Eventually practicing and teaching all over the world.

An introduction into the wonderful power behind menstruation

One of Dylan’s first lessons in his Ayurvedic journey was that one of the greatest blessings a woman has is her menstruation - the cleansing and purification of her Shakti (divine feminine energy).

The wisdom of the menstrual cycle

A woman has the capacity to be a fertile ground - taking the potential that lies within the seed and with her Shakti creating something much bigger and powerful.
The many variables that play a role in the preservation of this fertile ground that is the female reproductive system.
The female cycles affecting the doshas and the entirety of the female physiology.
Why the menstrual cycle is fundamental for the preservation of female fertility.
How a woman deals with her menstrual cycle determining how she will reach menopause later in life
The menstrual cycle and the preservation of fertility not only being linked to the capacity to birth children but also to the essential qualities of Shakti - birthing creativity and individual expression in the world.
Lowe half of a female body with the vagina covered by a plant

Menstrual phases according to Ayurveda

1. When a woman has had her period then the body enters the Kapha phase - it starts to build the structure needed to initiate conception (thickening of the lining and building of the fluids) in case a sperm cell happens to be invited into the womb any time soon.
2. When ovulating the woman undergoes the Pitta phase - the phase of transformation that allows for the sperm cell to fuse with the female egg and transform that into a Zygote.
  • During this phase temperatures increase inside the womb to the optimum levels for that transformation to take place.
  • The enkindling of that reproductive agni (fire) also leads to an increased libido.
Diagram of the dosas (Vata, Pitta and Kapha)
3. If fertilization doesn’t occur during the previous phase then the woman enters the Vata phase - the decline. Here the body realizes the structures it has created were not used and therefore destroys them in order to be able to create the optimum conditions again in the future.
      • The wind/air element in ayurveda is that which destroys - so it’s like a little tornado charged with heat hits these structures and then the lining is destroyed and everything is pushed downwards through a period.

Ayurvedic Protocols for menstruation

It is of upmost importance during this phase to ground the vata:
  • Very important to avoid exercising, since that wind element will be scattered throughout the body by excessive movement and the cleansing will not properly take place.
  • Allow yourself to rest; not excessive napping, but slow down.
      • Try not to use your mind as much - avoid studying, overthinking and stress since that will move the Prana (life force) upward instead of downward.
  • Eat cooling and grounding foods like rice-based dishes, milk (can be warm due to its nourishing properties) and coconut-based dishes.
  • Avoid hot foods like eggplant, tomatoes, and excessively spicy foods. Also excessively cold foods and raw foods since all of these will only increase that which you are already feeling.
Melting Strawberry ice cream
  • Mainly eat easy-to-digest foods since that will allow for the blood to concentrate in the pelvic floor and to enliven the cleansing process instead of being massively sent upwards to the digestive system in order to take care of a heavy meal.
  • Generally, any foods that balance out the dry and hot qualities of this period will promote wellbeing.
  • Sleeping the closer you possibly can to the earth - this is a grounding technique.
      • Traditionally a grass bed has been used so that a degree of comfort is there, while still being as close to the ground as possible.
By following these easy protocols many women that had lost their fertility (in terms of having regular periods) have successfully regained it.
Copulation or engaging in any sexual activity is contraindicated during this period.
Women in their menstrual period should try and avoid cooking for two main reasons:
  • Rest should be primordial during this time.
  • There is a special warmth and sliminess women experience during their period that needs to be preserved. When physically interacting with food, these properties are going to embed themselves into the food and affect its properties & qualities.
      • Test this yourself: buy organic rice, handle it with your bare hands and leave it to rest. In a short period of time you’ll see some of the rice grains will hatch.
When on their menstrual periods, women should avoid visiting the temple and the chanting of mantras
  • All mantras carry a specific energy - some are more heating and some are more cooling. This energy will surely affect the temperature within your body and that will alter the inner body chemistry and possibly trigger certain undesired consequences.
  • Spiritual practices imply the upward movement of the subtle Prana & the subtle vayu (wind), which allows for the elevation of the soul within the individual.
    • But during this period of menstruation, you are not supposed to be working on the upward movement of the subtle prana but instead the gross body is working on the downward movement of Prana/Vayu

Avoid bathing, Abhyanga and any other activities that stimulate several parts of your body
  • They are naturally vata aggravating → they’ll send that wind to all directions within the body.

Menstrual Pain

If you are properly taking care of your body health having menstrual pain shouldn’t be normal; there shouldn’t be any. Only heightened sensitivity should be present.
  • The pain is an indication of imbalance.
Three main causes of cramps:
  • A too sluggish environment that is not allowing for the vayu (wind) to move freely
  • Too much movement that leads to excess wind aggravation that in turn causes vayu to go to undesired parts of your body (a part of your back, cervix, pelvis, etc.) and generate cramping.
  • Excess heat and inflammation due to an over-enlivened agni usually caused by an improper diet
What a woman does between two cycles is also of relevance.
  • The menstrual cycle is there to cleanse, so if there’s a lot to cleanse then the period will take rougher qualities; but if women take proper care of themselves then there will be less to cleanse and the period will be painless (that’s how it naturally should be).

Menarche

It is the first occurrence of menstruation
The first 13 years of life are of assimilation - both physically and mentally.
  • The exponential expansion, growth and maturity of a woman’s physiology.
  • The various types of learning and creation of memories and an individual psyche.
When menarche arrives, that’s when heat increases in the body and the transformation phase begins.
  • The fire sets in and all of that which was assembled in the previous 13 years is taken into action, into creation - that is the rise and amplification of Shakti (divine feminine energy).
Ayurvedic tradition:
During the first 12 days the girl goes through a very introspective process, either with an elder-woman or alone. On the 13th day there is a celebration honouring the blossoming of this bud.
A turmeric paste is made and spread all over the body to maintain the menstrual heat and to further purify.
How parents should address their children’s needs and educate them during menarche:
It is important that the communication is good with their children and that they clearly educate them as to what is helpful and what is not; what enlivens their health and what will act as a detriment to it.
Making these things clear early in life is better than having to fight these battles later, when non-healthy habits have already been assimilated as “normal” and the consequences start to appear (missed periods, acne, PCOS [PolyCystic Ovarian Syndrome], etc.).

Menopause

Menopause is supposed to be asymptomatic
The degree to which you have honoured your periods will determine how rough or mild your menopause will be.

Ovulation Pain

Pain during the ovulation is very often related to low digestive fire. When that digestive agni is debilitated, ama (toxic undigested waste) is created and it blocks the tiny channels within the reproductive system. That blockages will not allow for the prana vayu to flow freely.
To dissolve this ama you can do several things: a good body cleanse, panchakarma (Ayurvedic cleanse composed of five separate procedures), eating light foods, Laṅghana (Ayurvedic deprivation therapy) and fasting.

Piercings according to Hindu Tradition

Piercings are usually put in stimulating points called marmas. These points are related to different parts/systems within the body.
Ear piercings are traditionally done when the child is 6 to 8 months old and they support brain health.
The nose piercing (particularly on the left nostril) has more to do with menstrual and reproductive health. For women suffering from pms and other menstrual issues, this is the piercing you should consider.
  • There is a particular point within the left nostril that is the most auspicious and effective for this cause. It is believed that if done right and in precisely the right place, the piercing will not get infected.

Other tips and insights that can help with female reproductive health

Warm Castor Oil applied on the lower abdomen and pelvic region will allow for Prana Vayu to be invited downwards with ease.
  • It is also recommended for women right after they give birth.
Organic Tampons dipped in Oil - preferably Dhanvantaram Tailam - are very good especially for older women that are already experiencing dryness in their vaginas.
  • You can even do it once a month and wear it for 2-3 hours and that will help strengthen the whole vaginal environment
  • Our Yoni Ghee or Special Phala Ghee are also very good and can be used in the same manner and for the same purpose.
  • The more frequently you apply them the better.
Yoni Ghee
Avoid harsh diets and raw foods while on your period since they enhance the menstrual cramps and related pains.
Wearing white and smelling jasmine aroma are recommended ayurvedic practices for women on their periods.

Shedding Spike Proteins Cvd Vx((een | Stephanie Grutz #061

Vital Veda Podcast Banner
An all inclusive discussion about the potential shedding of spike proteins that are generated by the body after receiving the CvD Vx((een.

These proteins may be what is causing the adverse health effects being reported by many of those who don’t receive the vx((een, but simply are around those who have.

- What are spike proteins?
- How are they being transmitted?
- How can we detox and overcome side effects after receiving the vx((een?
- What precautions should we take to prevent transmission?
- How can we prevent receiving spike proteins and the adverse effects?
- Why are so many women having hormonal and gynaecological imbalances after being around others who have had the vx((een?

About Our Guest: Stephanie Gurtz

Stephanie is an integrative nurse practitioner with over 12 years in the field of medicine.
In 2009, Stephanie was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease and eventually diagnosed with Crohn's. She started down a path of biologics and steroids with deteriorating health. As she desperately searched for answers, she stumbled upon integrative medicine. She went all in, changed her mind, body and spirit and started treating herself holistically. Since 2014, Stephanie has been using her skills and experiences to help empower others to work towards their healthiest selves.
I chose once again Stephanie to be on this podcast because of her extensive, non-biased independent research on the C19 vx((een.

In this Episode we Discuss:

Stephanie's Daily Routine (Dinacharya)

Stephanie’s medical background and why she turned to integrative/holistic medicine

Becoming a certified nurse and going through all of the western medicine paradigm.
Being diagnosed with an autoimmune disease in her twenties and looking for alternatives to the life-time use of immunosuppressants.
Going through a consciousness shift that affected her entire life and eventually healed her condition.
Developing an integrative practice in which she provides a range of services that allows for people to detox their bodies.

Spike proteins

Spike proteins essentially are what our body manufactures after receiving the vx((een.
The members of the coronavirus family have these sharp bumps - or little crowns - that protrude, these are spike proteins.
These proteins act as the key to the lock that is our immune system, they allow the virus to enter certain cells and start the self-replication that will lead to our bodies getting sick.
Ficus Religiosa Trees
Coronavirus (the red "crowns" are the Spike Proteins)
The idea behind the vx((eens is that when these spike proteins are introduced into our bodies, they will make our bodies create synthetic proteins of the same nature. Therefore, if and when the wild exterior coronavirus enters our bodies, these synthetic spike proteins that our bodies have already developed will help fight back against the infection.
Dr. Lee Makowski - from North Eastern University - published a hypothesis in the journal of viruses saying that the spike protein in the wild coronavirus might mimic proteins that, amongst other things, regulate blood vessels and the formation of blood clots
  • That spike proteins we are making via contact with the virus or vx((een are mimicking proteins that regulate other cellular structures in our body.
    • It is for that reason that these proteins wreak havoc in our bodies and trigger certain responses that might not have been foreseeable by those that do not have a complete understanding of these spike proteins and the role they play in both the wild virus and vx((eens.

The effects caused by the shedding of spike proteins

Several cases of women bleeding during very extended periods of time (3-6 weeks), others bleed with heavy clotting & what they call “tissues”, others don’t bleed at all
Some menopausal women suddenly started bleeding again
Pregnancies that became severely compromised and ended in miscarriages - women's hormonal system is very delicate. To get pregnant and stay pregnant is an enormously complex system. We know that that the spike protein antibody cross-reacts with Cinsiden 1 and 2 - proteins absolutely essential for the placenta, for fertilization and maintaining a pregnancy
Some men have been experiencing blood clots, scrotum & prostate swelling
Stephanie’s Crohn's disease started to flare up after several years of not presenting any issues, just after attending a venue with a high concentration of vaccinated people.

Information from the inside

One of the founders of the mRNA technology (which is used for Pfizer and Moderna vx((eens) - Luigy Warren- tweeted:The vx((een shedding of the spike proteins is real. But it is occurring in small amounts that is mostly not harmful.”.
Later twitter suspended his account saying it was alleged “fake news” - another example of censorship by Big Media in the pursuit of a political agenda.
Warren then put out a statement saying: “The tweet you locked me out for is correct. I am the inventor of the technology of which Moderna was founded. Look it up. I think I know what I am talking about.”

How can this shedding be transmitted and assimilated by others

The hypothesis is that it can be airborne, saliva, urine, seminal fluid, feces and possibly even flatus transmitted.
Given that proper scientific studies haven’t been performed yet, this is mostly speculation based on the lived experiences of those who come forward with stories related to this topic.

How should we protect ourselves (both the vaccinated and unvaccinated)

What is fundamental is to strengthen your immune system
If you have had the vx((een, a bit of body cleansing/detox is also very recommended.
Intermitent fasting:
It is one of the most powerful interventions for overall health. It really helps detox the whole body.
Intermittent fasting is very helpful in triggering autophagy, which is the body's way of cleaning out damaged cells in order to regenerate newer, healthier ones.
Ayurveda considers intermittent fasting to be “the supreme medicine”.
If you want to take fasting seriously then consult a practitioner and make sure you are guided through it, it is a tremendously powerful and yet delicate process. It needs to be done the right way.
Not recommended for those who are excessively losing weight or suffering any sort of anemia. Pregnant women should also abstain from fasting.
Sauna:
Sauna allows for deep sweating which helps in the detoxification of the body.
If a sauna is accessible to you, doing it 3-5 times a week is recommended.
Get in the Sun:
Vitamin D strengthens your immune system, it heals and supports all areas of your body.
Vitamin D obtained naturally from the sun is much more powerful than what any supplement can provide
Side-note: sunbathing the soft tissue areas of your privates (testicles and breasts) is very helpful to deal with cancer’s that are lodged nearby. Sunlight triggers the production of healing hormones and allows for the creation of a protective layer.
Get your lymph moving:
These spike proteins - and any viruses for that matter - tend to go and lodge in the lymph because it is responsible for removing toxins.
A lot of times the lymph system gets sluggish and doesn’t move much. Therefore:
Doing lymph massage, vibration plates, dry brushing, yoga (even deep belly breath only), self-oil massage (Abhyanga)
Do Nasya every day (along with Abhyanga):

Nasya is the practice of sniffing a drop of ayurvedic medicated nasal oil (Nasika) up your nose.

The nose is the gateway to the skull, so it creates a coating in the nasal passages so that toxins, environmental pollutants, viruses, pathogens and bacteria don’t get in.

Things that you can internally take:
Dandelion Tea - Is an excellent source of potassium. Potassium helps the kidney filter toxins more effectively and improves blood flow. The polysaccharides in dandelion are known to reduce stress on the liver and support its ability to produce bile.
Fulvic acid - is believed to help block reactions in the body that cause allergy symptoms. It also seems to have anti-inflammatory properties along with immune-stimulating and antioxidant effects.
Smriti herb - "smriti" in sanskrit means memory. This powerful herb helps enliven the genetic memory within the body that promotes the appropriate functioning of all organ systems and propitiates intense healing.

The Power of Mother Divine and “Navaratri” and How to Access Its Regenerative Energy

An Illustration of the divine mother
"Divinity blossoms where woman are respected."
Manu Smriti (ancient Ayurvedic text on gynaecology)

In the Vedic calendar there are a few times in the year when the collective invokes the Mother Divine aspects of consciousness.

Mother Divine or Universal Mother is commonly referred to in the Vedas as "Durga" (remover of miseries), "Devi" (goddess) or "Shakti" (feminine energy or infinite power).

There are many ways to invoke the Mother Divine in us and in the collective.

Aspects of Mother Divine

  • Gracefulness, elegance.
  • Invincibility, capability.
  • Feminine counterpart of the "destruction operator" in nature. - Like a stern mother ensuring we are following the laws of nature, or else, some destruction will occur to shake us up.
  • The Divine personality known as 'Durga' (pictured) sits on her tiger with infinite arms holding shining weapons ready to slay the demons. This is expressive of the capability of pure Being (infinite arms) to dissolve (slay) negativity, stress and disease (demons).

These aspects of consciousness are referred to as Durga in the Veda.

  • Abundance.
  • Increase of flow.
  • Choosing the higher value of behaviour over the lower value of behaviour.
  • Having every resource at the tip of your fingers. Because they align to the value of which nature is desiring for you and the universe.
  • It is our natural-born heritage to be abundant. If mother nature is abundant, then we are.

These aspects of consciousness are referred to as Lakshmi in the Veda.

  • Music, arts, culture.
  • Feminine aspect of creation - the force of Natural Law (prakriti) that creates all expressed values on the basis of pure intelligence (Purusha).
  • Education and knowledge. Personification of divine knowledge.

These aspects of consciousness are referred to as Saraswati in the Veda.

  • Infinite adaptability and infinite organising power. (Shakti)
  • Nourishing, nurturing, protecting. (Devi)

Navaratri: Times of the Year to Access Infinite Regenerative Energy

Every year, a special Vedic celebration is honoured called Navaratri.

"Nav(a)" = Nine.
"Ratri" = Night.

The festival "Navratri" is the 9 Nights of Mother Divine. This is an opportunity to join masses all over the world in invoking the energy aspect of mother divine.

When is Navaratri: Seasonal & Astrological Significance

There are actually 4x Navaratris each year. They come in the midst of seasonal transition (rtu sandhi) , giving us the opportunity to reset, let go, purify, rejuvenate, and move into the next phase of our life with greater lightness and ease.

There are two main Navratris to counter-balance the seasons that are associated with sickness and death:
Vasanta (Spring) and Sarat (Autumn) in India.

These seasons are called "Death's Teeth" (Yama Danta) because it is when the world is unstable. Spring is detoxifying what accumulated in the winter and autumn is purifying the accumulations and acid from the rainy season.

Furthermore, these two Navratris come at thresholds of the northern solstice (Uttarayana, Agneya) and southern solstice (Dakshinayana, Saumya).

It is at these times that us as a society have special need for grace, and so the Devi’s Navaratri, the Vasanta (spring) and Sarat (autumn) Navratri, are observed as times for special prayer and regeneration.

The "main" Navratri that is most celebrated and auspicious is Sarat Navarati, which takes place after the autumn monsoon and the autumn harvest (which in Australia is our Spring). It begins on the first day of the bright fortnight of the lunar month of Ashwini.

It is around September / October each year and changes according to the lunar calendar and the planetary alignments to align with Nature's powerful, rejuvenating and evolutionary cycles, rhythms and energies.

Ways to Invoke the Mother Divine:

(for both females, males and all gender-identifications to invoke)

  • Place your awareness on the aspects of mother divine in you, people you know and that which permeates throughout the world. This is good to practice while you are in your most de-excited state (after meditation and yoga for example).
  • When spending time with the people in your life, especially the women that are close to you, immerse in relationships with more honour, gratitude and love for the feminine divinity that emanates through that individual. Whatever you place your attention on grows. Allow that divinity to blossom and permeate! (This "Shakti" also certainly emanates through males).
  • Chant or listen to mantras specific to mother divine.
  • Attend ceremonies, celebrations and pujas with a specific focus on the mother divine.
  • Perform the more specific rituals and rites that are outlined by the Rishi's (seers), gurus and in the ancient texts. Check your local Hindu temple, vedic community or pundit (Vedic Priest). • Make the nine days a little retreat - honour yourself with more self-care and time by doing more dinacharya (Ayurvedic daily routine), sadhana (practice to attune yourself with nature), yoga,  extended meditation programs (according to your meditation technique/program).

Ayurveda's View on Woman's Wellbeing

In Ayurveda, the woman's health and wellbeing is pivotal for not only the health and happiness of the family, but to the whole society and even the nation at large. Their wellbeing is a core influence that ripples throughout their (larger than you think) vicinity.

Woman's healthcare is a priority. From menarche (start of menstrual cycle) to pre-conception, to pregnancy, to menopause - the woman's health plays a major influence on the health of the people around her.

The destiny of the world lies in the hands of women. Women is the creator. She has beauty, charm, grace and wisdom. She has her hand in the hand of God. Woman is at the top of creation. This is her place and her Dharma, and this she must never loose, for if she does, there will be wars, suffering and cruelty, because she is the opposite of all these things. The nervous system of a woman is by nature more refined and much more delicate. She is the first to sense the good, the pure, the beautiful, the divine. By nature, man is more gross. His position is to deal with the world, so he must be able to deal with stress. Woman is balance, a balance of all nature. She takes in all the stress of her husband and children and does not pass it on. Must not pass it on. Healing is in the lap of the mother; she heals the child's soul. Her place is to see that man goes for higher consciousness. The love of mother that comes through the hands of every woman is Mother Divine. A woman should not get so tired. Her structure is for finger things.
~ Maharishi Mahesh Yogi

A Time For Transformation

The 9-days of Navrati represent the 9 months a baby spends in a mother’s womb. During Navratri, our consciousness evolves everyday from tamas (inertia, delusion) to sattva (purity, awakening).

  • The initial step is to get rid of all the countless impurities (Kali).
  • Then acquire virtues and auspicious and divine qualities (Lakshmi).
  • Thus purified, knowledge flashes upon you like the brilliant rays of the sun in crystal waters of a perfectly calm lake (Saraswati).

This process can take a lifetime or more. It can also be fast tracked and experienced in a big hit during these 9 days, Navratri, by allowing the Divine Mother to operate though us.

Night provides rest and rejuvenation. During the night, you turn inwards through sleep, and you wake up feeling refreshed and rested in the morning. In the same way, Navaratri or the ‘nine nights’ is that time of the year when you get the chance to experience deep rest. This deep rest brings freedom from all kinds of bothers, and brings deep relaxation and creativity.
~ Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

Mother is the creative aspect of the Absolute and all that which is continuously being created.

The Epidemic of Infertility

The Australian Department of Health reports 1 in every 6 Australian couples suffers from fertility problems, which they attribute to the decision to have children later in life as well as declining sperm count.

According to the Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), about 10 percent, or 6.1 million, women in the United States have difficulty getting pregnant or staying pregnant each year.

Male Infertility Epidemic

According to the largest and most comprehensive meta-analysis of its kind published in August 2017, sperm counts around the world declined by more than 50% between 1973 and 2013, and continue to shrink.

Fertility is not just about having a child, it’s a by-product of good health.

Ayurveda doesn't consider fertility to be just a matter of procreation but a matter of enlivening creative intelligence within the body which becomes manifest in many ways that transcend one's capacity to reproduce.

Re-identifying the role of a woman to benefit the women

The Misaligned Superwoman

  • The challenge to harmonise between the divine masculine and the divine feminine in the workplace.
  • Excess androgens (male hormones) in woman.
  • Women want success financially and in their job, but they are less successful at making babies.
  • Controlling a time to have a child.
  • Intellectual mind dominating the primal mind.
  • PCOS - excess androgens.

The Trend of Having Children Later In Life

Although we are extending our longevity as a species, we are not extending the age of our fertile window.

Freezing Eggs

Your Eggs Are In Your Grandmother / You (Woman) Are Born Containing Your Grandaughter

  • Modern science says that all your eggs in your ovaries. All of them.
  • You don’t grow new ones in your life.
  • While your mother was growing within your grandmother, you were one of the follicles in her teeny tiny ovaries.
  • Ovarian Follicle - secretes hormones and has the potential to develop into healthy eggs that could be available for a future baby.
  • This oocyte may undergo divisions to form an ovum - a mature female reproductive cell, which can give rise to an embryo, usually only after fertilisation by a male cell.

If you are pregnant right now with a girl, you are carrying your daughter AND your future grandchild.

This is bija dosha - and why consciousness conception ie. preconception health is so important for your future generations (plural).

Don’t let the man off the hook either.

Smriti

Ayurveda considers this herbal formula to be particularly efficient at enlivening cellular memory of perfect health, enhancing health at a quantum level and hence in many cases increasing fertility.

Sex During The Menstrual Period

  • According to Ayurveda this is the most inauspicious thing one can do and it will severely compromise fertility.
  • Blocking the pathway and blocking the cleansing.
  • Reversing the flow towards upwards.
  • Reversing the energy.

Deep respect and honour for the very special event that is the menstrual cycle

Ayurveda states that honoring the menstrual cycle is fundamental to promote overall health and enliven your fertility.

Essential Elements for Conception

The intersection between Ayurveda and fertility: Garbha Sambhava Samagri

The “Fetus forming ingredients”

  1. Rtu - ideal season, in terms of fertile period in a woman. Ideal climate in the garbhashaya (uterus and fallopian tubes) for the sperm to fertilise the ovum.
    • Sperm should enter the uterus a couple of days before ovulation. Ovulation is the release of egg or ovum from the ovary in woman.
    • Dvadasaratram: Day 12 when artava is manifested. Days 12-16 (fertile period) is the ideal kala for conception.
    • If not fertilised, the ovum gets distorted.
    • As lotus flower closes positively when the day is over, a woman's uterus contracts after the period of conception is over (thus, does not receive the seed).” S.S. Sarira Sthana, Ch 2.
  2. Kshetra - Fertile land. Mother. Healthy womb (uterus).
    • Good land for implantation to occurs. Implantation: the ovum which is coming towards to uterus following ovulation meets the sperm. Then fertilisation occurs. The fertilised ovum (sukra shonita) now comes into the uterine cavity and gets adhered in to the wall of the uterus.
    • Now, uterus is home for the garbha and growing foetus until it gets matured until delivery.  The first home of all living beings.
    • Treat diseases related to the uterus before conception so a healthy women allows for proper implantation.
  3. Ambu - Proper water supply for the land.
    • Rasa dhatu to supply nutrient for the foetus.
    • To create this: PK, shodana, nasika, pranayama, asana, ensuring spine is in good position always.
    • If this rasa to the garbha is cut off, the foetus doesn’t grow properly or one can find stunted growth or mal-formation.
    • Foetal circulation - the exchange centre of the two bloods of mother and foetus is the Jarayu (placenta). The circulation takes place trough the blood vessels of the mother drain and receiving through the umbilical cord of the foetus (nahbi) via the umbilical cord.
  4. Bija - healthy seed.

Healing the Thyroid with Ayurveda | Dr. Marianne Teitelbaum #040

Vital Veda Podcast Benner: Episode on Ayurveda for the Thyroid

Thyroid Disease is one of the most common health problems that we face.

The thyroid gland is the only gland whose hormones affect every cell in the body.
In reverse, anything in the body that is not in balance, will affect the thyroid.

There are epidemics of hypothyroidism (low/under-active thyroid). Especially western countries.
15 million people in US alone have hypothyroidism and don’t even know it!
Hashimotos is currently the #1 Auto-Immune disorder.

Rather than giving medications, which make the thyroid gland lazy, we want to address with Ayurveda the root issues that allow for the thyroid to malfunction.

About Marianne Teitelbaum

Dr. Marianne Teitelbaum has been in private practice for over 30 years.

She has studied with several Ayurvedic doctors, including Stuart Rothenberg, M.D., and Vaidya Rama Kant Mishra.

The recipient of the Prana Ayushudi Award in 2013, she lectures and writes extensively about Ayurvedic treatments for all diseases.

She has been using in-depth principles of Ayurveda in her practice with outstanding results with all health problems.

In this Episode we Discuss:

Marianne’s Guru: Vaidya Rama Kant Mishra

Most of the Shakhadwipi Brahmins who settled in India still practice Ayurveda today. Just as Acharya P.V. Sharma, a famous Ayurvedic scholar, is of Shakhadwipi descent, Vaidya R K. Mishra’s ancestors issued from these migrant Shakhadwipi families.

Sastras (Ancient texts) left the texts open for Vaidyas to later add to in the future.

Overmedication of modern westerns causing lots of problems.

The trend of Americans rejecting herbs when taken orally due to a debilitated liver.

  • Similarly, modern Americans were becoming victims of Panchakarma as they couldn’t handle the detox methods.
  • Prepare the channels before detox.
  • Ensure agni is proper.

“Natural” synthetic supplements and “Nutraceuticals”

  • Isolated active ingredients synthetically made in a lab at a much higher dose - this comes riddled with side effects for the liver and kidneys.
  • e.g. Vitamin supplements, zinc supplements, curcumin extracts, herbal extracts etc.
  • These are not bad, but not ideal to take long term.
  • Ayurveda, on the contrary, provides natural, holistic and very effective treatments for ailments of the Thyroid.

Bhasmas (Ash of minerals and metals)

Powerful nano-particle Ayurvedic medicine that can penetrate well. They can go to certain places that regular herbs cannot.

The Epidemic of HypoThyroid Disease

(Low/Sluggish or Under-active Thyroid)

Hashimotos: The #1 Auto-Immune Disease

Thyroid Medication

  • How taking thyroid medication makes your thyroid gland lazy. It is not addressing the root cause of the problem.
  • How to get off the medication gradually as their thyroid comes back to life and proper function.

The thyroid gland is the only gland whose hormones affect every cell in the body.

In reverse, anything in the body that is off, will affect the thyroid. Here's where Ayurveda plays a major role, enlivening the cellular memory of optimum health and acting as a support for the thyroid.

The effect of mercury on the thyroid

Mercury goes immediately to the thyroid gland instead of the iodine.

The effect of fluoride on the thyroid

  • Fluoride in tap water - Fluoride an endocrine disruptor in the broad sense of altering normal endocrine function." This altered function can involve your thyroid, parathyroid, and pineal glands, as well as your adrenals, pancreas, and pituitary.

Fluoride has the ability to:

  • Mimic thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH)
  • Damage the cells of your thyroid gland
  • Disrupt conversion from the inactive form of the thyroid hormone (T4) to the active form (T3)

Chlorine is also in the same family as iodine - and can displace iodine in your thyroid gland  (iodine is used to create T4 and convert T4 to T3.

The effect of the contraceptive pill on the thyroid

  • Low prana, non-intelligent hormones mimicking chemicals.
  • Causing lost of breast cancer, not allowing thyroid to work + many other issues.

Coffees effect on the thyroid gland.

Ionised salts effect on the thyroid gland.

Instead of synthetic iodine, eat kelp or seafood.

Are women more effected with hypothyroidism than men?

  • They may have more stress, and fluctuating hormones.
  • Maybe because they attend to their health more?

Why blood tests may not detect thyroid imbalance but rather report “normal”

  • Ayurveda, by means of the Pulse diagnosis, allows for the detection of imbalances in the thyroid earlier on in the disease process.
  • Ayurveda has Six Stages of Disease.
  • The thyroid panels that doctors are performing are not comprehensive enough.

The effect of Soy on the thyroid gland

Especially unfermented soy is not good for overall health.

The Health Implications of Veganism

  • There’s something missing.
  • You may feel wonderful a couple years… but it has ill implications for health.
  • Our whole body is animal protein.

Over Heated Liver

Constant heating can lead to autoimmune conditions.

The Immune System and Auto-Immune Disorders

  • The three components of the immune system.
  • Auto-immune is loss of intelligence.

The best yoghurt culture

  • The reductionist approach of probiotics.
  • The best way to consume yoghurt.

Guduchi (Tinospora cordifolia)

  • A very enlightened plant.
  • Very easy to grow. Get a cutting of the stem and grow it.
  • Prevents the cytokine storm - fantastic for auto-immune.
  • One of the amrita (immortal) herbs.
  • “The great protector.”

HyperThyrodism

Premature cleansing

The Role Of The Gall Bladder

  • An overlooks organ.
  • Weak thyroid = the gall bladder doesn’t empty properly.
  • So the cholesterol becomes imbalanced.

Ayurvedic Guide to Healthy Menstruation

Menstruation is an important gift and a blessing for women.

Every month, women have a unique opportunity to purity their body and cultivate physical and creative energy (known as "shakti" in Ayurveda), for the month ahead. It is like pulling back the bow to launch into life with vitality.

It is to common that medications, whether it be drugs or herbs, are prescribed to attempt to balance the menstrual cycle. However, all one may need is awareness of this natural stage in life and how-to live-in harmony with it.

Ayurvedic Program for Menstruation

Take time off. REST

During the period of menstruating, activities are best reduced to what is essential so that the body, mind and blood flow can reserve all its energy in the pelvic floor. The body, mind and spirit may flow in accord with the natural rhythms moon and 27 constellations (Naksatras).

Resting the physical body in regard to exercise, movements and travel, ushers the downward flow of energy and blood to purify effortlessly.

Resting the mind from activities like studying, mental work and stress allows the energy and blood flow to move in a downward direction.

This is the time of the month to schedule less work.

This is why men need to be educated about this powerful time for women, because it is this time of the month that they should be taking responsibility for more home chores, shopping, cooking and taking care of the kids.

  • If one is unable to rest for the whole period, one should take rest for at least the first 1-2 days.
  • Do not sleep during the day – This promotes sluggishness, poor circulation and blocks the channels. If you are undergoing Banana Purification, it is okay to sleep during the day.
  • Take it easy - Mental activity and psychical activity reduced. Especially 1st day when heavy bleeding is happening, take day off.  Avoid running and excessive exercise, laughing, hearing loud sounds (loud music, crowded places).

Retreating from the normal routine and everyday activities and stressors is necessary so that you may remain mindful of the great transformational experience of shedding the lining of the uterus (endometrium) so that it can be renewed once more.

Be Within Yourself

The menstrual period is a gifted time to naturally slow down. Attune yourselves to go more inward. Maintain positivity during this period.

This helps balance the colon, bladder and hormones.

Vata Pacifying Regimes

  • Keep yourself warm, happy (chocolate not required for happiness) more oily foods (ghee).
  • Handle cravings comfortably – Some women naturally crave salt or sugar during this period. Try balance salt cravings, and if sugar cravings persist, a glass of hot water or warm milk with spices is an option.

Reduce Bathing

  • No baths, light shower is ideal.
  • Not cold or hot water, just luke warm – cold is good.
  • Shower is best skipped on first day and can be avoided during the whole period.

Why less bathing?

  • Activates lymphatic system (like parishek treatment). Also distributes energy to peripheral tissues (skin), when it should be preserved in apana vayu (pelvic floor) for the purification period.
  • Vata is prevalent during this time. Vata is dark, cold, excessively moves, erratic and ungrounded. The body at this times needs to be kept protected, cared for, grounded and stabilised with the least degree of intrusion so that the necessary discharge can be pulled by its own rhythm and completed without interruption.

No Swimming or Washing Hair During the Menstrual Cycle

  • We need to safeguard the body against the persuasive rhythm of the water element.
  • Water is one of the five powerful elements used to bless, cure, heal, nourish, nature and revive the body, mind and spirit. Water is sacred, powerful and has its own cosmic energy.
  • Water, guided by this cosmic energy, can influence the flow of the menstrual cycle to an exacerbated flow, like the calm, peaceful, smooth flowing body of water can turn into a tsunami, avalanche, hurricane or storm.
  • We want the fire element - the metaboliser and governor of blood, to flow in temp with its own rhythm and tune.

~ Some of these tachings beautiful articulated by Maya Tiwari

Diet

  • Simple warm, cooked and light food. Avoid meat.
  • Mono-diet as much as possible.
  • Milk rice is great, especially for those woman who have uncomfortable and rough periods..
  • No cold foods or drinks.
milk rice in a silver dish

Avoid Constipation

Constipation can happen because your body’s elimination focus goes more towards the menstruation. To counter this:

    • Shodana Vati
    • Vata Pacifying regimes.
    • Do not suppress any natural urges, (burps, farts, defecation, urination, yawning, sneezing, etc.)
    • Drink 2-3 cups of hot-warm water in early morning.

No Sexual Activity

This probably will aggravate the colon, bladder and hamper normal flow. We want the blood to be focused on staying in the pelvic region (apana vayu).  During this time, we don't want anything up the vagina as this will block the flow of energy.

Intercourse during menstruation is considered the most inauspicious act according to Ayurveda. (Source: Caraka S, S.S)

No Self-Massage/Abhyanga

For the same reason as not bathing. Applying some oil as a moisturiser is fine.

Exercise

Nothing more than a 30 minute light walk (at least).

Light walk daily is great.

Hygiene

Tampons block the free passage and clear flow of menstrual flow. It aggravates Apana Vayu (the pelvic floor seat of Vata). Thus are not advised.

Only external organic absorbent pads should be used.
We recommend re-usable organic pads or organic period underpants.

Avoid Combing Hair and Cutting Nails

Grooming hair and nails is for times of extrovert. The vedas says women who cuts nails or hair during her period will promote her future offspring to have bone issues.

Avoid Gardening, Cooking and Being Near the Preparation of Food During the Menstrual Cycle

  • This is not due to the irrational thinking that menstrual blood is unclean, unhygienic or toxic.
  • Food and plant life is imbued with prana - a rising energy flowing up from the earth towards the sun and sky.
  • In contrast, the menstrual blood is instilled with apana vayu, the downward-flowing, bodily air pulled from the body by the magnetic forces of the earth.
  • These two powerful roles of nature do not harmonise together.
  • Plant-derived food is also Kapha in nature, earth element full of youth-giving energy that nourishes and builds the body (anabolic action).
  • Menstrual blood is dominated by Pitta and Vata, which fosters cleansing of the body and spirit and reduces tissues (catabolic).
  • It is unwise to introduce the rising, energising nature of food into the menstrual blood, or to mix the downward-flowing, cleansing energy of blood into our sustenance - including preparing food or eating heavy foods during the menstrual cycle.

~ Teachings beautiful articulated by Maya Tiwari

In this Episode we Discuss:

The greeting that is “Jai Guru Deva”

How John transitioned from a pure celibate monk to a highly sexual being, and the worlds most successful relationship author and teacher on sex.

The relationship between sexuality and spirituality can be expressed as the harnessing of the former to cultivate the latter.

Channelling sexual energy up into the higher energy centres of the body.

The Relationship between sexuality and spirituality

  • The relationship between sexuality and spirituality is that both can be manifested as one when the appropriate state of consciousness is inhabited by those involved in the lovemaking.
  • Healthy skepticism - required for the modern healthcare system.
  • We are loosing our trust in doctors and public medicine.
  • Trust is essential. It brings in the ability for the patient to let go. Surrender.
  • Ayurveda is the opposite.
  • The incredible public trust is being threatened - patients tell doctors things they wouldn’t tell their spouse, within seconds of meeting them!
  • Patients are hungry for knowledge.

Having sex with a stranger vs. having sex with someone you love.

  1. Sex with a Stranger/Impersonal sex - Feeling love when having sex with strangers is fake love and not sustainable, one keeps searching. It is an addiction. You “love” something that doesn’t really nourish you. Masturbation is one of them. Off-the-chart dopamine levels.
  2. Sex with someone you love has a more balancing and dynamic chemical cocktail of hormones.

Used to be the "7 year itch." Then it was the 3 year itch. And now sometimes it’s the one night stand itch.

Expressing the Energy You Cultivate

Putting your energy out in the world and then it reciprocates back in. Cycling the love and cycling the energy. This benefits others in the world and in relationships.

Getting so high also requires you to bring the energy down.

Gurus teaching celibacy but having sex.

Gurus getting vilified for having sex.

There’s nothing wrong with sex! But society condemns sex. Plus the gurus are teaching celibacy!

Penetrating into another person through listening

Establishing a relationship between lovers with a high value of spirituality and sincere love before engaging in sexuality.

The dance of connecting and separating for alone time in a relationship.

Leisha Vidya - Faint remains of ignorance.

How to Have the Best Sex with the Same Person

This is the higher teaching.

Stimulating a woman to reach high estrogen levels is a necessity for the woman’s body.

Rising together in unity in a Monogamous relationship.

How polyamories cannot sustain that passion with one person, due to the absence of skills to sustain polarity.

The importance of polarity to have a relationship of supreme love.

Burn outs in marriage due to loss of sex drive.

When kings had multiple wives

Meditation as a way to find what your mission is here on earth.

Semen Retention - To Open the Heart (but caution ⚠️ )

  • This is a highly advanced practice.
  • Suppressing the natural urges as an influential cause of disease.
  • John used to get prostate infections when practicing semen retention in the 80s. Any chronic inflection can later turn to cancer or swelling of the prostate gland.

John's (brief) approach to semen retention

  • Exercise certain muscle groups
  • Practice restraint - stop before the urge comes and connect with feeling of love and connection.
  • The objective is to ramp up the sexual energy till your heart opens up and you feel more love. When that love comes, let it relax and feel the love.
  • The role of woman - be in harmony with the man’s energy. Letting go of the attachment to orgasm.
  • To experience orgasmic energy happening to you, within other aspects of life, rather than you grabbing onto it and controlling it.

The Challenge of Women Masturbating

De-sensitising the clitoris and creating a release which causes an addiction to it which creates a “fantasy oestrogen.” Where connecting with a man creates more authentic oestrogen.

Gender Fluidity

  • Honouring our gender that our human body was blessed with (for those that were born with a definitive gender).
  • With the rise of consciousness and people becoming more spiritual aware, they are able to access both their feminine and masculine.
  • Gender confusion as a potential cause for divorce.
  • The trend of todays culture of women going more towards their masculine and men going more towards their feminine and what that means.

How men should talk about and express their emotions and feelings

Gut Health for Mental Health + Microbiome Wisdom | Kriben Govender #032

Vital Veda Podcast Banner: Mental health gut microbiome
An exciting area of modern science is exploring the connection between the gut microbiome and mental health. It so happens the brain and gut are intimately connected by a bi-directional communication pathway that has been dubbed the gut-brain axis.

There’s plenty of evidence that stress and violence will negatively affect one’s microbiome, mood, immunity and bodily functions.

According to Ayurveda, 85%-99% of health concerns originate as digestive imbalance - "manda agni"

The collective of micro-organisms that dominate the human body, the microbiome, play a very large role in gut health, mental health, and basically all biological functions.

We are 90% bugs. Most of the cells in our body are microbial.

We need to get more familiar with the microbes that dominate our gut.

About Kirben Govender

Kriben Govender, is a Food Scientist, Registered Nutritionist and Founder of Nourishme Organics, a company specialising in Gut Health and Mitochondrial health-focused products and Allele Microbiome – a provider of cutting edge Metagenomic Stool Testing and Deuterium Testing.

With more than 20 years of Food industry experience in the field of Research and Development, Quality Assurance and Procurement, Kriben intimately understands the food supply chain and the interaction between diet and the gut microbiome. He has personally visited more than 100 food processing sites across the world. He is the host of one of Australia's leading Nutrition Podcasts - The Gut Health Gurus Podcast  where he frequently interviews health experts from around the world.

In This Episode We Discuss

Kriben’s current anxiety and gut issues that are manifesting in the stressful times of COVID-19.

Kriben’s struggle with anxiety and depression

Then corporate work further exacerbating his stress.

Taking a nuclear anti-biotic that altered the composition of his gut microbiome and changed his mental health overnight.

He was suicidal and ready to end his life, then learned about the relationship between mental health and the gut microbiome through the gut-brain axis.

What is the Microbiome

The collective of microbiome - Bacteria, yeast, viruses parasites.

The gut-brain axis is a bi-directional communication pathway.

  • Most of the communication is going from gut to brain via the vegas nerve into the brain.
  • Stress can alter the micro-organisms in the gut.

There is no such thing as a good and bad parasite or virus. It is all about harmony and balance.

Some when out of balance can create disease.

The Important Purpose of Viruses in Nature

  • They are the only things that can quickly change our genome.
  • COVID-19 in problematic because it is novel - we have never been exposed to it and have not developed herd immunity to it.
  • Viruses are natures
  • Scientists have been using Corona viruses to implement gene therapy protocols for many years.

Mitochondria

  • Ancient microbes
  • Modern mitochondrial insults - nnEMF, chemicals, air pollution, artificial lighting, unclean water, over consumption of sugar.
  • Damaged mitochondria leads to poor immunity.

GABA in the Gut

  • Gamma-Aminobutyric acid - an amino acid produced by the brain.
  • Chief inhibitory neurotransmitter.
  • Reducing neuronal excitability - relaxation, reduces stress, increases calm, balances mood, alleviates pain and helps with sleep. - “The brakes of the brain.”
  • Responsible for the regulation of muscle tone.
  • Food sources - Kefir, yoghurt, whole grain, walnuts, almonds, citrus, berries, spinach, broccoli.

Seratonin

A study showed 95% of serotonin production occurs in the gut.

5-hydroxytryptamine receptors or 5-HT receptors, or serotonin receptors are derived from the gut.

Selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitors (SSRIs) inhibits 5-HT re-uptake (reabsorption of the neurotransmitter - important because it allows for recycling of neurotransmitters and how their release lasts).

Dopamine

Responsible for cognitive functions such as decision making, attention, memory, motivation, and reward.

A study showed how Dopamine is produced in the gut by showing a "considerable urinary excretion of dopamine metabolites indicates that large amounts of dopamine are produced in unknown locations of the body."

Microbes affect how people metabolise these compounds, regulating the amount that circulates in the blood and brain.

Enteric Nervous System

  • Second brain. Located in the gut. A nervous system the size of a cats brain. All your nerve plexuses end in your gut.
  • Modulated peristalsis, going to the toilet.
  • Everything starts from umbilicus.

Butyrate / Butyric Acid and Leaky Gut

  • From butyric acid - a health beneficial short chain fatty acid.
  • It got its name from the latin word for butter, butyrum.
  • Your gut bacteria produces butyrate from prebiotic fibres in plant foods. Specifically clostridium butyricum.
  • While is was first discovered in butter, ghee is the highest source of this superfood.
  • Reduces anxiety and depression. Provides neuro-protective effects.
  • Helps digestion by maintaining integrity of the GI mucosa and gut lining.
    • Can plug a leaky gut.
    • Intestinal permeability - in a healthy barrier, tight functions are relaxed allowing water and nutrients to pass through.
    • It is the main energy source for colonocytes, the cells which make up your gut lining. - Unlike other cells in the body which use glucose (sugar) as the main energy source.
    • Colonocytes help provide an oxygen-free environment in which beneficial gut microbes thrive.
  • Inhibits growth of unwanted bacteria in the gut and interfered with the growth of toxic bacteria.
  • Anti-inflammatory.
  • Encourages growth of the beneficial bacteria like Bifidobacterirum.
  • Supports and regulates healthy bowel motions.
  • Supports the health of intestinal mucosa during inflammatory bowel conditions.
  • Supports health cholesterol.
  • Increases cellular energy production.
  • Reduction in fatty tissue and hunger levels.

Triggers for leaky gut

Improve tight junctions in the gut lining

Flavanoids (fresh fruits), omega 3 fatty acids, sea-weed, glutamine (fermented veggies, broccoli, bone broth collagen peptides), sulforafan (broccoli and broccoli sprouts), vitamin D (sun), Vitamin A (cod liver oil, sardines), Zinc (oysters), Butyrate, sulforaphane, some probiotics (MegaSporeBiotic), and Kefir.

Circadian Medicine

  • Light signalling.
  • Reduce artificial blue light, especially after sunset, since that increases cortisol and reduces melatonin.
  • Use blue light blocking glasses. Both Kriben and I recommend RA optics (discount code: VITALVEDA)
  • Download iris tech to shield your computer screen from blue light.
  • Your digest fire (agni) is resulted by the sun. Have a good lunch and light dinner.
  • The light hitting your skin while you eat has an effect on digestion. - Beware of the light your are eating under - eat under natural light, and not under artificial light. This particularly effect blood glucose.

General Principles for Eating:

  • Whole foods, avoid packaged foods.
  • Fresh foods. Avoid left overs.
  • Eat local foods. Foods that are grown and sourced locally.
  • Relax and eat.

Kefir

  • Countless health benefits.
  • Two types: Milk Kefir and Water Kefit (vegan).
  • How to Make: Simply add 1tsp of kefir grains into a glass of 250ml milk, leave for 24 hours and strain. Then pass the yoghurt through a sieve, and keep the kefir grains for next time.
  • What are Kefir grains - symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast. Scientists can’t replicate the grains in labs. People replicate and share the grain amongst each other.
  • They replicate. Kriben hypothesises they found the the kefir grains in a stomach (biofilm) of a goat. Water kefir grains come from a type of cactus.
  • Around 15 strains of bacteria in water kefir.

Microbes are sensitive to Sattva (pure state of mind and consciousness)

  • There’s plenty of evidence that stress and violence will negatively affect one’s microbiome, mood, immunity and bodily functions.
  • Sattvic bugs. - sattvic lifestyle.
  • Spiritual people.
  • We are 90% bugs. Our consciousness impacts that.

Rhythmicity

  • Very emerging science, funnily enough, a key Ayurvedic recommendation for health and to balance vata.
  • Consistent and regular waking times, sleeping times, light exposure, eating times, bowel motions.
